Create an account/login

To learn how to create a 2M lingo account watch this video or read the steps below:

Step 1: Retrieve your invitation link

The invitation link is sent to your email address. Check your inbox for an email from “2M Language Services”, subject line should start with “Invitation to …”. Open the email and click on the button “Accept invitation”.

Step 2: Create your login credentials

You will now be taken to the 2M lingo welcome page and prompted to create a password. Create a password following carefully the password instructions. Tick the box “Agree to Terms and Conditions” and click “Create Account”.

 Step 3: Sign in

In the next screen, you will be encouraged to download the iOS or Android app if you wish to use th app on your smartphone or tablet (Available on Apple and Android devices). Click on “Sign in to your account” and enter your email address and password to login.

Step 4: Complete your profile

When you log in for the first time, the system will ask you to complete your profile. Fill in the fields with your information and click the “Save” button. You will note that the “Timezone” field is prefilled, your timezone is automatically picked up from your IP address.

Book an interpreter/Create an appointment

Step 1: Log in to your 2M lingo account

Click on the “login” button at the top-right corner of this page and enter your access credentials.

Step 2: Enter the appointment module

In the welcome dashboard screen, click on the “Appointments” module to access your appointment calendar. Click on the “Create an appointment” button to start your interpreter booking.

Step 3: Enter your information

Precise all information marked with an “*” (required) including appointment type, languages, service delivery, communication type, location (in case of onsite interpreting), date & time and duration of the appointment. You can indicate other fields to precise more details which will help us find the most qualified interpreter and will help the interpreter prepare himself for the appointment.

Click “Save” to create appointment. You can edit the appointment’s details at any time if there was a need.

Step 4: Booking workflow

Once the appointment is created your 2M account manager will look for a suitable interpreter. When the interpreter availability is confirmed you will see the status of your appointment change to “broadcasted” then “scheduled” and to “complete” when the appointment is finished. If you change critical details such as language, location or time, your appointment status will revert to “broadcasted” as we need to re-confirm interpreter’s availability.

Conduct a scheduled video remote interpreting session

To learn how to conduct a scheduled video remote interpreting session, watch this video or read the steps below:

Step 1: Create a scheduled video remote interpreting appointment

Create an appointment as described above and select “scheduled video interpreting” as communication type.

Step 2: Join the conference room 7 minutes before the start of the appointment

From your 2M lingo web app, click on the microphone icon on the top-right corner to open the communication module and click on “scheduled” to see your scheduled video and telephone appointments.

Select the correct appointment and 7 minutes before the start of the appointment you will be able to click on the “join” button to enter the VRI room. Once the interpreter has joined the meeting room you can click on the “begin call” button to be connected with your interpreter.

Step 3: Using the VRI room features

During the VRI session, you will be able to do a few things:

  • Swap camera (if on mobile device or tablet)
  • Use the chat to type in a message to the interpreter
  • Enter full-screen view
  • Use the chat to type in a message to the interpreter
  • Move the VRI room window within your screen with a simple drag and drop
  • Mute yourself

Step 4: Ending the VRI appointment

At the end of your session, click the “end call” button and confirm then click on the “leave” button to quit the VRI room and confirm, you can make as many calls as needed as long as you haven’t left the VRI room.

Conduct a scheduled telephonic interpreting session

To learn how to conduct a scheduled telephonic interpreting session, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Create a scheduled telephonic interpreting appointment

Create an appointment as described above and select “scheduled telephonic” as communication type.

Step 2: Join the call within 7 minutes before the start time of the appointment

From your 2M lingo web app:

Click on the microphone icon on the top-right corner to open the communication module and click on “scheduled” to see your scheduled video and telephone appointments.

Select the correct appointment and within 7 minutes before the start of the appointment, you will be able to click on the “join” button to enter the call. Once the interpreter has joined the call you can click on the “begin call” button to be connected with your interpreter.

Alternatively, you can watch the video above on “conduct a scheduled video remote interpreting session” as the steps are the same.

From a phone:

Prepare the following information: PIN code and meeting code.

You can find your PIN code in your 2M lingo profile under “My profile” by hovering over the question marks below “IVR PIN”:

 

You can find your meeting code in the appointment viewer of the respective appointment:

 

Within 7 minutes before the start of the appointment, call the following number +61 07 3186 5674

The Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) system will prompt you to enter your PIN code to access your customised call centre. If you have an upcoming scheduled telephone interpreting session, the interactive voice will prompt you to type in a meeting code to enter your scheduled telephone interpreting session. Enter the meeting code and wait to be connected to your interpreter.

Step 3: Using the audio call features (only in 2M lingo app & web app)

During the audio session, you will be able to do a few things:

  • Use the chat to type in a message to the interpreter
  • Move the call window within your screen with a simple drag and drop
  • Mute yourself

Step 4: Ending the telephone interpreting appointment

From the 2M lingo web app:

At the end of your session, click the “end call” button and confirm then click on the “leave” button to quit the call and confirm, you can make as many calls as needed as long as you haven’t left the call room.

From your phone:

Simply hang up to end the session.

Access an On-demand telephone or video remote interpreter

To learn how to access an On Demand telephone interpreter, follow the steps below:

VIA 2M lingo web app or mobile app

Step 1: Login in your 2M lingo account

Login to your 2M lingo account via the web app on 2mlingo.com.au or using the mobile app “Boostlingo” (available on iOS and Android).

Step 2: Activate the communication module and select the service needed

Click on the microphone icon to activate the communication module and select the service desired (language pair, service type & interpreter gender if specific needs). Click on the camera if you require a video interpreter.

 

Step 3: Place your call and wait to be connected to an availbale interpreter

Click “call” to place you call and you will be redirected to the first available interpreter for the requested language pair.

Step 4: Using the VRI or OPI features (only in 2M lingo app & web app)

During the audio/video session, you will be able to do a few things:

  • Use the chat to type in a message to the interpreter
  • Swap camera (if on mobile device or tablet)
  • Enter full-screen view
  • Use the chat to type in a message to the interpreter
  • Move the VRI room window within your screen with a simple drag and drop
  • Mute yourself
  • Reconnect to the same interpreter if the line drops (Click “Call Back”)

VIA a landline number (works for audio calls only)

Prepare the following information:  account PIN code.

Step 1: Call our call centre number

Call the following number: +61 07 3186 5674

Step 2: Identify your account

The Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) will ask for your PIN number to identify your account.

Step 3: Choose a service

Follow the IVR instructions to request a language and wait to be connected to an interpreter. We can create custom IVR menu on request i.e for your account the voice can say “Type 1 for Mandarin, type 2 for Vietnamese…” this is particularly useful if you usually request the same languages. Contact us to request a custom IVR menu.

If the line drops, start over from step 1 and you will be reconnected to the same interpreter, Hang up to end the interpreting session.
