ISO 18841:2018 standard
This standard responds to the need to provide general service requirements for the provision of quality interpreting services. It provides requirements and recommendations for the delivery of spoken and signed communication across languages and societal contexts and throughout interpreting specialisations. The scope of this standard applies to in-person, over-the-phone, and video remote community interpreting; in-person conference interpreting; remote simultaneous interpreting; in-person, over-the-phone, and video remote interpreting for businesses, courts, law enforcement, healthcare providers; in-person sight translation.
