2M Language Services was awarded the ISO 27001:2013 certification for Information Security Management early this month. By meeting the extensive criteria of the standard, 2M proves its commitment to confidentiality, safety and trust in the provision of language services.
About the ISO 27001 standard
ISO27001 is a globally recognised information security standard published by the International Organisation for Standardisation. The certification is the leading model set for organisations of any type and size to build an effective method of information security through the adoption of an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard enables organisations to manage the security of financial, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted by third parties.
Completion of the ISO 27001 certification demonstrates 2M maintains robust and defined procedures covering information security, integrity and availability. It comes after a process which tested 2M's methodologies for establishing, maintaining, monitoring, and improving its information security management system in a series of controls. Achieving certification provides assurance that an organisation's ISMS follows all the best practices in information security, demonstrating a model framework that meets the standard to identify, manage, and reduce risks to information security.
Thomas Lespes-Muñoz, Chief Technology Officer said, "The certification of our ISMS under a globally recognised standard will reinforce the confidence from our enterprise and government customers that their IP, information and most confidential projects are handled by a provider where information security management is instilled at the company culture level and applied through robust processes".
2M also holds ISO 18841:2018 for Interpreting Services, ISO 17100:2015 for Translation Services and ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management. For more information on 2M's certifications, please contact us.
