2M Language Services has been awarded ISO certification 17100:2015 which is the only internationally valid standard that specifically defines process standards for translation services and is intended to ensure a high-quality translation product.

ISO 17100:2015 standard

As an industry-specific standard, it standardises processes and requirements relating to translation projects. It makes translation processes and services more transparent and comparable while offering clear definitions of terms and concepts. ISO 17100:2015 provides requirements for the core processes, resources, and other aspects necessary for the delivery of a quality translation service that meets applicable specifications.

Application of ISO 17100:2015 also provides the means by which a translation service provider can demonstrate the conformity of specified translation services to ISO 17100:2015 and the capability of its processes and resources to deliver a translation service that will meet the clients’ and other applicable specifications.

Among the main pillars of ISO 17100:2015 are a dedicated team of expert project managers utilising industry technologies, strong vendor management committed to identifying professional translators and subject-matter revisers,  and advanced QA workflows based on the four-eyes principle to always ensure the best quality for our clients.

The core is the use of the academically highest qualified linguists combined with the subject matter expertise profile required for the assignment. In the Australian context, this also means NAATI Certification and where possible AUSIT Senior Practitioners and AUSIT Membership.
