If you are a talented translator, interpreter, voice-over talent or project manager, submit your application using the form at the bottom of this page. Please include the following documents in your application. If your application is successful, you will be invited to join our linguist panel.

  • Resume
  • Cover letter
  • Evidence of NAATI certification or country-specific certification.

Why is NAATI certification important?

NAATI certification is important because it signifies that you have the skills required to practise as a translator or interpreter in Australia. As a NAATI-certified service provider, this is incredibly important to us — we want to assure our clients that our English and non-English speakers can deliver interpreting and translations that are both accurate and culturally sensitive.

NAATI certification is also important for official and/or government documents. Many government agencies require documents to be translated by a NAATI-certified translator, e.g., birth certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, police statements, bank statements, payslips, diplomas and academic transcripts.

The NAATI stamp (including your practitioner ID) attests to the truth and accuracy of the translated document.

What is the Interpreter Training Boost Program?

The Queensland Multicultural Policy makes a firm commitment that the Queensland Government will increase its efforts in implementing the Queensland Language Services Policy, improving access to interpreters and multilingual services. With this in mind, the Queensland Government has introduced the Interpreter Training Boost Program (ITB) to provide new job opportunities in priority languages and improve communication outcomes for multicultural communities.

2M Language Services has partnered with TAFE SA to deliver the Queensland Government program and provide scholarships for up to 120 people to undertake NAATI-endorsed training and become certified to work as an interpreter in Queensland’s priority languages. The program will run from 2021-22 to 2023-24.

Please see our ITB page for FAQs or contact us at interpreterboost@2m.com.au. Please note that we are not currently taking phone calls regarding the ITB program.
