Remote interpreting service

Providing Indigenous interpreting services is a challenge as the linguists are rare and the set up often occurs in remote areas. To power interpreting services, our video remote interpreting platform 2M lingo overcomes the tyranny of distance and also caters for immediate on-demand interpreting requests.

Enabling video remote interpreting, interpreter scheduling and access to a pool of Indigenous language interpreters, the platform allows you direct and flexible access to these rare resources. Our Indigenous language service is also available as an onsite interpreting service.

Onsite interpreting

While telephone and video interpreting offers on-demand response times in an emergency or when faced with unexpected language barriers, onsite interpreting can be a more appropriate solution for longer appointments that are planned in advance.

This service must be booked in advance, travel charges may apply.

Through telephone interpreting, you can access fast & reliable language support in seconds. It also helps to reduce the costs as minimum charges are lower and no travel is required.

Improving healthcare service delivery for Queensland’s First Nation People

  • Languages: Yumplatok (Torres Strait Islands Creole), Meriam Mir, Kala Laga Ya, Kala Kawaw Ya, Wik Mungkan, Alyawarr
  • Method of interpreting: Onsite, video and telephone

Since 2018, we are the preferred provider of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders languages to Queensland Health Hospitals. It is crucial to provide access to health services in the patient’s own language when there is a communication barrier. This help to improve the service, the customer experience and reduce stay length and the number of appointments needed.

Providing the service for those languages is a challenge because or remote areas and distance but thanks to our 2M lingo™ platform, the nurses and doctors can access our medical interpreters remotely via video or telephone interpreting when onsite is not an option.
