In order to send the content you want to be translated to 2M Language Services via WPML, please make sure that the following plugins are installed on your website:
These plugins can be downloaded from your wpml.org account. You can create an account, if you haven’t already, by choosing WPML Multilingual CMS or Multilingual Agency plans.
2M Language Services will be visible at WPML -> Translators, which is only available after registering.
When all of the required plugins have been installed and activated, then all you need to connect WPML to the translation service is your 2M API Token.
If you are setting WPML on your site for the first time:
After installing WPML on your site and when you go through the plugin set up steps under step 4 Translation follow the below prompt:
Then choose 2M in the list of available translation services and enter your API token to activate the service.
If you are already using WPML on your site:
You then need to go, in your WordPress site, to WPML->Translation Management->Translators and choose 2M under the Translation Services section. Choose 2M and enter your API token to connect your site with our service.
To send the pages for translation, go to the Translation Management module (WPML->Translation Management).
Choose the pages you want to translate by clicking the checkboxes in the first column, select the target languages you require and click the Add to translation basket button.
Go to the Translation Basket tab to see a list of all the pages that you have added to the basket, as well as the languages they are to be translated into.
In this section, you can verify the content you are about to send that needs translating, remove any incorrect pages, and edit the Batch name. The Batch name will be visible on the Translation Jobs tab and will help you find the projects. When you have checked through this, simply click the Send all items for translation button to send everything over to 2M.
You will see a confirmation message when the translation basket’s contents have been successfully sent over to 2M.
You can view the jobs you have sent over for translation in the Translation Jobs tab at the top of the screen.
Once your translation basket has been transmitted, 2M will be immediately notified and will proceed to carry out a detailed analysis and quote for the batch.
The quote will then be emailed to you, with terms and conditions of business and simple instructions on how to authorize the translation.
As soon as 2M finish a translation job, it will be ready to be delivered to your website.
Depending on your configuration, translations will be automatically delivered or manually fetched from your WordPress admin panel.
If you want to check your configuration, go to WPML -> Settings, locate the Translation Pickup mode section and verify the selected option.
By default, 2M will deliver translations automatically using the XML-RPC option implies that translations will be delivered to your website automatically as soon they are complete.
The site will fetch translations manually option implies that completed translations can be downloaded from the Translations Dashboard (WPML->Translation Management) by clicking the Check status and get translations button at the top of the page.
If you want to cancel the translation of the pages sent from WPML to 2M Language Services, please consider that:
• You cannot manually delete or cancel jobs from the Translation Jobs tab on your website.
• The project can be cancelled by 2M only. Please contact 2M directly to do this.
Depending on your Translation Pickup mode configuration, the cancellation request can be sent to your website automatically through XML-RPC. Alternatively, you must click the Check status and get translations button on the Translation Dashboard tab to refresh the status and see the changes.
As a result, WPML will remove all cancelled jobs from the Translation Jobs tab.
